Prepare the site for the work ahead.
JMEC reviews elevations, soils, access, drainage, materials, quantities and the order of work before construction begins. The goal is a site that is ready for its next phase, with fewer surprises between clearing and construction.
- Land clearing and grubbing
- Excavation and earthmoving
- Rough and finish grading
- Building pads and subgrades
- Drainage improvements
- Parking lot preparation
- Utility coordination
- Import and export management
Coastal site conditions require planning
Low elevations, variable soils, groundwater and stormwater constraints can quickly affect quantities and cost. Early review of surveys, geotechnical information and civil plans helps produce a more reliable estimate.
What should I send for a sitework estimate?
Send the property address, boundary or topographic survey, civil plans, geotechnical information, proposed use and any known material requirements.
What if I do not have plans yet?
Completed plans are not required to get started. JMEC can help define the initial project scope, coordinate with licensed engineers and other design professionals, and manage communication between the owner and design team as the plans are developed.
Can you combine demolition and sitework?
Yes. A combined proposal can carry the property from structure removal through clearing, grading and preparation for redevelopment.
